Dumplings-min.jpg

All the sights, smells and tastes of a high-class street food market, created by some of the coolest chefs in the city.

Try Truffle Tagiatelle from Farina, Monk Dumplings from Sumthin Dumplin, Char siu Pork Belly Steamed Buns by Siamese Doll or Cheese Rocket Hotdogs by Mighty Hotdogs. Empenadas by South American Oven, Escalfada Chicken by Loco Bro’s Taqueria, Hāngī Bao Buns by Hāngī Master, Aloo Chaat by Mr Spicer and fresh macarons by Mrs Higgins.

Most dishes are priced $6 - $14 and there’s loads of seating so arrive hungry and make this a long leisurely dining experience!

Food served on street corners around the world closely reflects the local culture itself.

Here in Tāmaki Makaurau we are blessed with a diverse cultural tapestry and at Street Eats we celebrate this by coming together and sharing a meal. Arrive hungry.

Every dish prepared by Rewi Spraggon starts off by with a real in-ground hāngi. Hāngi Master are serving hāngi pies, hāngi bao buns and full hāngi plates.

MRS HIGGINS

Mrs Higgins of Queen Street is based on a simple truth. You can’t beat the smell and the taste of a freshly baked cookie. At Street Eats they’ve topped it though. With soft-serve icecream, added to their cookies, slices and macarons.

LOCO BRO'S TAQUERIA

What do you get when two accomplished fine-dining chefs go rogue and start spinning street food? Double Birria, Escalfada Chicken and Vegan Chilli Tacos! That’s what.

SIAMESE DOLL

VIKI'S VIETNAMESE

It wouldn’t be right to stage a Street Food event without a masterly chef from Vietnam (via Auckalnd’s North Shore). Beef Pho Noodle Soup, Hanoi Crispy Springrolls and delicious Viki Golden Chicken Wings.
