Traditionally a hāngi is a special Maori feasting occasion. Such occaisions are inseparable from the smoky earthiness that those in the know have come to crave. Every dish prepared by Rewi Spraggon starts off by with a real in-ground hāngi. Hāngi Master are serving hāngi pies, hāngi bao buns and full hāngi plates.
Mrs Higgins of Queen Street is based on a simple truth. You can’t beat the smell and the taste of a freshly baked cookie. At Street Eats they’ve topped it though. With soft-serve icecream, added to their cookies, slices and macarons.

Hobsonville Point has undergone a transformation. The borough’s new inhabitants all now have an Asian Fusion powerhouse restaurant to rave about. At Street Eats try their Cadrona Lamb Curry, Char Siu Pork Belly steamed bun or Mushroom & Truffle Dumplings. Oh yeah, did someone also say donuts?
